The researchers on this project are actually the voices you hear in the video. By hearing these scientists talk in a more conversational tone, they become more approachable, and so does the information.
I just thought of a book that touches on this topic of presenting scientists as real people, not untouchable and misunderstood. The book is an anthology called Science Incarnate: Historical Embodiments of Natural Knowledge and is edited by Christopher Lawrence and Steven Shapin.
